Based at Barrow Hill, Staveley Rifle Pistol club started out as Staveley Works Rifle Club as part of Staveley Works, an old industrial iron and steel foundry in the 60's. When Staveley Works was closed some of the membership raised monies to purchase the land which enabled the club to continue to operate. We have a car park, club house, firing ranges and 13 acres of woodland. Facilities used to be basic with only a shed as a club house and firing point.
Following a fire in 1992 the clubhouse and ranges were rebuilt and have been improved over time.
We now operate as a club with roughly 250 members with some of the best facilities available across a number of disciplines. Members at the club regularly compete at county level in various disciplines. Over the years we have had several members competing at national and international level at their chosen discipline.
